Web Design

In order to have a successful web design, there are a number of items that need to be addressed on every site, regardless of product and audience -- navigation, information architecture and Call to Action (CTA).

  • The navigation has to be easy and intuitive. The potential customers need to be able to get to the information that they are looking for FAST. If they have to look for something, then it’s not in the place where it should be.
  • Information architecture is the way people consume information on your site. In multiple testing scenarios, as shown by research, you may have 2 web pages having identical content displayed in 2 different ways, with one page having a higher rate of conversion than the other. What causes that? This is caused by having correct positioning of your CTAs on your page.
  • CTA has to reflect the main thing you want your audience to do on your website! Whether it’s to get information, to buy, or to engage, there has to be a single, unique, most prominent and visible action item on your website. There may be a primary CTA, and a secondary CTA, but the primary one has to always be more prominent and visibly more attractive..

In addition to the navigation, information architecture, and CTA, the two components that should make your site unique are your Products and your Target Audience. The products and services that you sell will affect all three components above, but the true theme of your website will determined by your target audience. If you audience is young, your site should be hip and have vibrant colors. Yet, if your website is more technical in nature, then clean colors and minimalistic style will work best. In order to determine the right design, iWebClick will evaluate your target market and all the other critical components as part of the discovery phase.
